Orangutans are dying
Every day we lose 25 orangutans -- they’re starved to death or shot as greedy palm oil corporations destroy their homes.
This simply can’t go on. For too long, food giant like Nestlé and PepsiCo have been getting away with making empty promises and then turning around and splitting profits with companies like Indofood -- one of the worst palm oil offender in the world.
You can expose the dirty secret of palm oil giants like Indofood and pressure PepsiCo to stop its business with the company. With your help, we can force the palm oil industry to blacklist Indofood. Indofood will have no choice but to change how it does business if it wants to survive.
Can you chip in $60 to expose Indofood and ramp up the campaign to save our orangutans?
Indofood is probably *the* worst palm oil company in the world. It pays people poverty wages -- with the very lowest wages for women. It ignores the guidelines it has signed up to on protecting orangutan habitat. Indofood cuts down trees on carbon-rich peatland, intensifying climate chaos.
Yes despite all this, Indofood is still able to do business with PepsiCo and Nestlé -- and if we don’t put a stop to it, there’s not much hope for the orangutans or the palm oil plantation workers.
SumOfUs members like you have done incredible work by putting pressure on big brand name companies and getting them to do the right thing. Since 2014 you’ve forced companies like McDonald’s, Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks to commit no-deforestation palm oil policies.
Together, we can clean up the palm oil industry and force industry giants such as PepsiCo and Nestlé to cut deforestation and abuse from their supply chains. Will you join us now and you chip in $60 to power-up an emergency campaign to save the orangutans?
Reckless corporations are destroying the rainforests, killing the orangutans. But change is possible. If we can force Nestlé and PepsiCo to cut ties with the world’s worst palm oil company, Indofood, orangutans still stand a chance.
Can you chip in $60 to expose the dirty dealings of palm oil giant Indofood to the world and save the orangutans and the planet?
Yes I can chip in $60 to take on the world’s worst palm oil producer.
Thanks for all that you do,
Fatah, Rebecca, and the team at SumOfUs
PS: If PepsiCo and Nestlé dump Indofood,it would damage Indofood’s business and put pressure on them to change. Can you help us fund this plan? Please join thousands of us who care about the rainforest - donate $60 today.
