Boeing, Home Depot share losses contribute to Dow's 638-point drop

Shares of Boeing and Home Depot are trading lower Thursday morning, leading the Dow Jones Industrial Average slump. The Dow DJIA, +0.94%was most recently trading 638 points (3.2%) lower, as shares of Boeing BA, -4.10%and Home Depot HD, +3.53%are contributing to the blue-chip gauge's intraday decline. Boeing's shares have fallen $8.44 (8.3%) while those of Home Depot are down $12.17, or 7.8%, combining for an approximately 140-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are JPMorgan Chase JPM, +1.68%, United Technologies UTX, +5.49%, and McDonald's MCD, +8.88%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.78-point swing.
