Public schools 'a mad idea'

New documentary raises question: Is it time to pull children out?

INDOCTRINATION

PUBLIC SCHOOLS

AND THE DECLINE OF CHRISTIANITY IN AMERICA

Nearly 90 percent of Christian children attend a public school.

Their families have a vested interest in all that happens there.

This film is above all a challenge and an encouragement to millions of Christians, a must see! EVERY parent should watch this video… EVERY church in America should show this shocking documentary to their entire congregation!

A family field trip exposes the shocking truth behind your child's public school. If you're not ready to take a hard look at the true state of public education, you will not want to view this unflinching documentary. But you must!

The film's release this year coincides with a brewing controversy in the early stages of the 2012 presidential campaign, in which several candidates have promised to shrink - if not dismantle - the U.S. Department of Education if elected, a goal touted by Ronald Reagan but abandoned by the Republican Party in recent years.

Last year, Scottish-born filmmaker Colin Gunn loaded his wife and seven children into a yellow school bus and drove across the U.S. During the trip he conducted a series of interviews examining the "damaging effects of a government controlled education monopoly."

"IndoctriNation" explores the humanist philosophical foundation of the modern public school system, its overwhelming success in eradicating the Christian world view from the minds of America's children, and the fact that most parents seem completely oblivious to what is happening to their kids during their many hours spent in the custody of government employees.

"Our documentary exposes a lot of the things that are going on in schools, and we make it clear that it's not just the worst schools that these bad things happen in ... violence, drugs and sexual promiscuity - these things happen in the very best of schools," Gunn explains.

"We have more than a few whistleblowers - teachers from public schools, elementary school principals, students in school - and all these people say what we are arguing: that public schools are not the best place for your kids ... Many well-meaning parents who love their children are seeing them depart from the faith and leave the church, and a large part of that is the result of sending them to the public schools."

Among the interviewees is former public school teacher John Taylor Gatto, who was awarded "Teacher of the Year" in New York City from 1989-1991, and for all of New York State in 1991.

Gatto says that "turning your children over to total strangers and having those strangers work on your child's mind - it's a mad idea."

The question arises: Should this even be legal?

According to Herb Titus, a constitutional lawyer interviewed in the film, "There's a serious question of the constitutionality of government education. Thomas Jefferson, in his statute for religious freedom penned in 1786, said that to tax a man to promote the propagation of opinions with which he disagrees is both sinful and tyrannical ... The government shouldn't be involved in education at all."

Pastor Kevin Swanson says that "the schools are failing. The society is ripping our families apart. Our young men, our young women are aimless, purposeless, they have no vision in life."

And author Samuel Blumenfeld states: "Public schools have become a criminal enterprise."

In a recent interview on the Tom Roten Morning Show (WVHU, West Virginia), Gunn noted that the genesis of the modern public school system in America "wasn't even American. The Prussian model was established in the 1800s, and it was a militaristic, socialist model - and we use that model to this day."

Influences included Sigmund Freud, Karl Marx, and Charles Darwin, with the result that American public education "is a huge mix of terrible ideas."

"Horace Mann, for instance, was a Unitarian. Now that may not seem like a big deal to people but there's a huge difference between a Trinitarian view of the world and a Unitarian view of the world. If Christ is not King and not Lord and not authoritative, then man is, and that's what we see with Unitarianism. It established humanism where man is the measure of his own self, he could define his own future, and the last thing we wanted were those old religious parents with their ideas. So their idea was, get the kids away from their parents, establish this new utopia that was scientific, that was separate from history, that would progress America.

"And if we look where we are today with the socialism, and we see the people in Occupy Wall Street - completely ignorant of the world, completely ignorant of reality, well that's the long-term effect."

Christian parents "might be deceived, or they might be self-deceived, about what is going on in the public schools, and they need to know the information from the insiders. Trust these whistleblowers in our film. They know what goes on. They know that even if you've got a good teacher, it's the teacher in the classroom next door that's coming up to your child in the playground and telling your child 'you can't say this, and you can't say that, and this is the truth about homosexuality.'

"And we know these things go on all the time."

Praise for "IndoctriNation"

"Every Christian parent with a child in a government school should see this [movie] and be forced to confront their unwillingness to do what Scripture requires for the children on loan to them by God. A mass exodus from government schools is the only way to preserve the souls and minds of our children, whether it gets the attention of politicians or not ... and it would."

- Cal Thomas, syndicated Columnist and Fox News contributor

"This is the most important issue facing the Body of Christ, an issue that must be addressed and put to rest forever. IndoctriNation is an extremely important movie. Every church in America should show 'IndoctriNation.' Every Christian should show 'IndoctriNation' to their friends."

48 Liberal Lies About American History

Over the last forty years, history textbooks have become more and more politically correct and distorted about our country’s past, argues professor Larry Schweikart. The result, he says, is that students graduate from high school and even college with twisted beliefs about economics, foreign policy, war, religion, race relations, and many other subjects.

As he did in his popular A Patriot’s History of the United States, Professor Schweikart corrects liberal bias by rediscovering facts that were once widely known. He challenges distorted books by name and debunks forty-eight common myths.

A sample:

• The founders wanted to create a "wall of separation" between church and state

• Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation only because he needed black soldiers

• Truman ordered the bombing of Hiroshima to intimidate the Soviets with "atomic diplomacy"

• Mikhail Gorbachev, not Ronald Reagan, was responsible for ending the Cold War
