The Capitol is also being evacuated and CNN reports that tear gas has been used inside the building and lawmakers are holding gas masks.

Ted Cruz to object to Arizona electors, adding to fraud claims | 05 Jan 2021 | Sen. Ted Cruz plans to challenge the Electoral College results from Arizona on Wednesday in a push for an electoral fraud commission. The Texas Republican isn't objecting because he wants to set aside Arizona's results, but to force a debate on setting up a commission to study possible instances of voter fraud, a source familiar with Cruz's plans told The Post. Arizona was one of the swing states that narrowly broke for President-elect [sic] Joe Biden. The news means allies of President Trump plan to object to at least three states' electors, forcing a debate of up to two hours for each state.

Ron Johnson, R-Wis.; James Lankford, R-Okla.; Steve Daines, R-Mont.; John Kennedy, R-La.; Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Mike Braun, R-Ind.; as well as Sens.-elect Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo.; Roger Marshall, R-Kansas; Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., and Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala. -- say that the election "featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud and illegal conduct." Their effort is separate from one announced by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., who said this week that he would object to what he said was the failure of some states -- most notably Pennsylvania -- to follow their own election laws.
Georgia Election Data Shows 17,650 Votes Switched From Trump to Biden - Data Scientists | 02 Jan 2021 | Georgia election data indicates 17,650 votes were switched from President Donald Trump to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, data scientists testified on Wednesday during a state Senate hearing. A team led by Lynda McLaughlin, along with data scientists Justin Mealey and Dave Lobue, presented the results before the Georgia Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Elections . Mealey worked as an electronic warfare technician in the U.S. Navy for nine and a half years and was a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) contractor as a data analyst and programmer for the National Counterterrorism Center. He currently works for one of the "Big Four" accounting firms as a programmer. Lobue is a data scientist with over a decade of experience in a number of industries.
Twitter Bans Mathematician After Explosive Testimony at Arizona Hearing --Bobby Piton's account gets blocked during hearing | 01 Dec 2020 | Bobby Piton, the mathematician and investment advisor representative of Total Clarity Wealth Management, was blocked by Twitter while giving witness testimony during the Arizona hearing yesterday. Piton, who testified at the Arizona voter fraud hearing, said after analyzing the data, he believes this is the "biggest fraud in the history of our constitutional republic is taking place right before our eyes." Piton's account was suspended during his testimony, while the hearing was still ongoing.Piton said he would "rather resign" if he was in charge of certifying Arizona's election results.
Over 432,000 Votes Removed From Trump in Pennsylvania, Data Scientists Say | 04 Jan 2021 | Pennsylvania election data show that over 432,000 votes were removed from President Donald Trump during the November election, data scientists say. According to an analysis by the Data Integrity Group, obtained exclusively by The Epoch Times, votes for Trump--from both Election Day and mail-in ballots--were removed from the totals in at least 15 counties. Time-series election data shows Trump's votes decrementing in various counties at numerous time points instead of increasing as would be expected under normal circumstances. The group said that Election Day vote removals happened during the vote tabulation process in at least 15 counties... Meanwhile, absentee vote removals happened in Allegheny County, Chester County, and Lehigh County. At least 432,116 votes--213,707 election day votes and 218,409 absentee votes--were removed in total.
Pennsylvania Lawmakers Urge McConnell and McCarthy to Dispute PA Election Results | 31 Dec 2020 | A group of 27 Pennsylvania GOP lawmakers on Dec. 30 penned a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), calling on them to dispute the Pennsylvania election results until an investigation is conducted into numerous claims of fraud. Pointing to allegations of fraudulent activity and violations of election law, the lawmakers said in the letter that their effort has "nothing to do with overturning any election results, but rather ascertaining if the allegations of fraud corrupted the outcome of the vote." "There are simply too many questions that remain unanswered to say that the results can be trusted and therefore the certification is premature, and the results must be disputed until an investigation is completed," wrote the group, comprised of eight Pennsylvania state senators and 19 state representatives.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) on Wednesday added momentum to the long-shot bid to overturn the election when he announced he would object to Congress's counting of the electoral votes on Jan. 6, making him the first GOP senator to join an effort launched by House conservatives. The objection from Hawley, along with at least one House lawmaker, would ensure a debate and vote in the House and Senate.
Facebook Shuts Down Page for GOP Senate Campaigns Just Before Georgia Runoffs | 02 Jan 2021 | Facebook shut down a fundraising page for Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.) just days before voters head to the polls to decide between the Republicans and their Democratic challengers. The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) runs the Georgia Battleground Fund, a joint fundraising committee for the NRSC and the campaigns for Loeffler and Perdue. According to a screenshot from the committee, Facebook alerted them that the page for the fund was disabled "for policy violation." ...A Facebook spokesperson told news outlets that what happened was a mistake. [LOL!]

Russia is developing world's first Covid-19 antidote, preclinical studies show drug effectiveness of more than 99% | 30 Dec 2020 | Russia's Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) has announced the development of a drug to fight against Covid-19, which would become the world's first direct-acting antiviral antidote if clinical trials are successful. According to Veronika Skvortsova, the head of FMBA, studies thus far have shown it is more than 99% effective. "This is the first etiotropic drug that directly affects the virus. In fact, this is an antidote for coronavirus infection," she informed Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Wednesday, noting that preclinical studies have been completed, which have shown the remedy to be "completely safe" and "highly efficient." Etiotropic means that the treatment is directed against the cause of a disease... The FMBA is also working on a separate drug for the treatment of the most complex coronavirus cases, which suppresses and prevents a physiological reaction called 'hypercytokinemia'. Also known as a 'cytokine storm', it is an immune response that leads to body tissue damage, and is thought by some to be causing Covid-19 deaths.
Portuguese health worker, 41, dies two days after getting the Pfizer covid vaccine --Sonia Acevedo suffered a 'sudden death' on New Year's Day 48 hours after jab | 04 Jan 2021 | A Portuguese health worker has died two days after getting the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine. Sonia Acevedo, 41, suffered a 'sudden death' at home on New Year's Day 48 hours after receiving the jab. An autopsy is expected to take place later today or tomorrow. The mother-of-two, who worked in paediatrics at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Porto, is not said to have suffered any adverse side-effects after being vaccinated. Ms Acevedo's father Abilio Acevedo told Portuguese daily Correio da Manha: 'She was okay. She hadn't had any health problems. She had the Covid-19 vaccine but she didn't have any symptoms...I want to know what led to my daughter's death.'
Wisconsin hospital worker arrested for spoiled vaccine doses | 31 Dec 2020 | Authorities arrested a suburban Milwaukee pharmacist Thursday suspected of deliberately ruining hundreds of doses of coronavirus vaccine by removing them from refrigeration for two nights... Police in Grafton, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of Milwaukee, said the Advocate Aurora Health pharmacist was arrested on suspicion of reckless endangerment, adulterating a prescription drug and criminal damage to property, all felonies. The pharmacist has been fired and police said in a news release that he was in jail. His motive remains unclear. Police said that detectives believe he knew the spoiled doses would be useless and people who received them would mistakenly think they'd been vaccinated when they hadn’t.

A state judge ruled to change a health order that has forced the couple apart during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gary Hein and Ann Severine, a couple of more than three decades, live in the same care facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico - Hein in independent living and Severine in memory care.... The loving husband took part in a lawsuit in which he claimed his constitutional rights were violated and both his health and that of his wife had declined. He said nursing home staff, even employees who had been exposed to COVID-19, were allowed near her, but he wasn't, even though he's repeatedly been tested for the virus.
State Supreme Court upholds Lamont's authority to close businesses through COVID emergency orders | 31 Dec 2020 | The Connecticut Supreme Court on Monday upheld the legality of Gov. Ned Lamont's coronavirus emergency business closure orders in a ruling against a Milford tavern owner who argued the governor was exceeding his authority and crushing small business such as hers. The court upheld the exercise of emergency power during a public health crisis in an expedited, four-page ruling that affirmed a lower court ruling in September... At one point, the lawyer for Kristine Casey [owner of Casey's Irish Pub], Jonathan Klein of Bridgeport, accused Lamont of "essentially playing God.”
'I Want to Beat Them to Death'; Left-Wing Journalist Threatens Anti-Maskers and Christians During Unhinged Rant | 02 Jan 2021 | If you don't believe masks work as much as the media tells you, left-wing journalist [sic] and NY Times best-selling author Kurt Eichenwald wants to literally "beat you to death". Yes, that's what he tweeted. In a New Year's Eve twitter meltdown, Eichenwald blamed "anti-maskers" for the death of his brother in law, even though he provided no proof that a maskless person infected him. "I have so much hate in my heart tonight. My sister, widowed by COVID, has Covid because of antimaskers," he wrote on Thursday. "About 4,000 died today; GOP says nothing. [Republican Sen. Josh Hawley] & his ilk are working to harm America. I wish them & their loved ones all the pain & misery they inflicted on this country." Eichenwald argued that, since anti-maskers believe they have the "right to kill", he feels it's okay to kill them by beating them to a pulp... In the same breath that he expressed interest in "beating people to death", he somehow claimed to know what Jesus Christ would think of anti-maskers. He also said Christians will "burn in h-ll.”
UK judge refuses US extradition of WikiLeaks founder Assange | 04 Jan 2021 | A British judge on Monday rejected the United States’ request to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to face espionage charges, saying he was likely to kill himself if held under harsh U.S. prison conditions. In a mixed ruling for Assange and his supporters, District Judge Vanessa Baraitser rejected defense arguments that the 49-year-old Australian faces a politically motivated American prosecution that rides roughshod over free-speech protections. But she said Assange's precarious mental health would likely deteriorate further under the conditions of "near total isolation" he would face in a U.S. prison. "I find that the mental condition of Mr. Assange is such that it would be oppressive to extradite him to the United States of America," the judge said.
Senate Overrides Trump's Veto of NDAA, 13 Members Uphold Veto | 01 Jan 2021 | The Senate voted to override President Donald Trump's veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2021. The upper house on Friday afternoon passed the bill without the president's signature with an 80--13 vote--the first time a Trump veto has been overridden. The debate over the bill was ended earlier in the day with the same result. Thirteen senators voted to sustain Trump's veto of the bill, including Republicans Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Mike Braun (R-Ind.), Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), and John Kennedy (R-La.). Across the aisle, supporters were Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.).
Fifth journalist in two months killed in Afghanistan | 01 Jan 2021 | Unidentified gunmen have shot and killed an Afghan journalist, a local spokesperson said Friday, the fifth journalist to be killed in the country in the past two months. According to The Associated Press, Bismillah Adil Aimaq was driving near Feroz Koh, the provincial capital of Ghor, traveling home after a visit with family in a nearby village. Arif Abir, the governor's spokesman, said that gunmen then opened fire on the vehicle, killing Aimaq. Abir added that others that others in the vehicle, including Aimaq's brother, were unharmed in the attack.
1 dead, 1 injured in Texas church shooting | 03 Jan 2021 | A gunman killed a pastor and wounded another person at a church in East Texas Sunday morning, the Dallas Morning News reported. At a news conference Sunday, Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith said the suspect had sought to hide inside Starrville Methodist Church in Starville after a car pursuit the night before, and that the man was confronted by the church’s pastor, who drew his gun. The suspect disarmed the pastor and fatally shot him, according to the Dallas Morning News. The other person shot by the gunman is being treated at a local hospital, as is a third person who fell during the shooting but was not struck.

Janet Yellen, Biden's nominee to be secretary of Treasury, made more than 7.2 million speaking at Wall Street firms and corporations over the past two years, according to her financial disclosure form. Biden's choice for secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has made almost 1.2 million in the past two years through consulting clients at the firm WestExec Advisors, according to his financial disclosure.
