Our beautiful Canadian weather is the perfect combination for winter and summer activities, and right now, our national speed skaters are calling natural outdoor rinks their practice grounds.

Tyson Langelaar is a long track speed skater for Team Canada. His teammates and him have had to get creative in where they are training.
“When it's nice weather outside, and not too much wind, that's my favorite place to skate — is just on natural ice outside,” said Langelaar.
His pick for best natural rink is Gap Lake in Alberta.
