Eighth Fire Gathering: Building a Network for Sustainability in the Northeast !
"Once you light the sacred fire, you destroy your own intent and invoke the spirit of prayer. You call upon the spiritual realm to come and offer guidance and inspiration to you and to the other individuals around that fire." ELDER DAVE COURCHENE, JR
People from all walks of life - artists and architects, engineers and executives, farmers and educators, mechanics and scientists - all are invited to join together to create a vision for a sustainable future in a post petroleum-dependent world. Come to the Eighth Fire Gathering where your passion, vision, skills, knowledge, and expertise will help build the future!
On September 12-14, 2008, a cross-cultural gathering of Native American elders, sustainability leaders, and concerned citizens will spend two days in dialogue, ceremony and celebration with the intention of building a network for sustainable culture in the Northeast--a culture which honors the wisdom and practices of the people who lived here successfully for thousands of years.
Come have your voice be heard!
