THIS IS AN EMERGENCY [AGENDA 21]
Tom DeWeese - American Policy
Hello ,
Last week I sent you a very important email message. I'm re-sending it to you just in case you missed it.
I look forward to hearing from you!

My Dear Friend and Supporter:
Just a couple of months ago I was released from the hospital. I had emergency surgery on my stomach in an extremely rare condition. I was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) listed as critical for four days.
Unfortunately the surgery and recovery cost my precious time and effort, including the need to cancel several speeches around the country. That hurt, because new battles have started across the nation and activists are asking for my help to organize.
The good news is that I am now able to resume my efforts to stop Agenda 21. I am back on the road speaking, on the radio for interviews and writing new articles for the media.
I’m behind, but my small, dedicated staff is helping me do the best we can to keep the American Policy Center’s (APC) vital programs running.
Because of this illness and the fact that the Agenda 21 battle is exploding across the nation, this is a critical time for APC and our battle to stop it and I urgently need your help – more than ever before.
Let me give you some details.
Even as Republicans and Conservatives have lost battle after battle in Congress and in the courts, APC and those fighting Agenda 21 are scoring victories in our local communities and state legislatures.
After so many years of being ignored on the Agenda 21 issue, it’s amazing to see what is happening.
But we are succeeding in pushing the issue of Agenda 21 into the main stream of the political debate.
And today, there are battles waging in every single state and almost every city and rural community.
And the planners, Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and self proclaimed “stakeholders” are pulling out all the big guns to defeat us and keep their strangle hold over our communities and private property.
But, in spite of their efforts to stop us, our anti-Agenda 21 efforts are getting stronger every day. Here are just a few examples of the battle APC is helping to wage.
- Anti-Agenda 21 activists in Virginia have effectively organized state wide. They went on the attack against several bills in the recent state legislative session that would have enforced Sustainable Development policy, damaged property rights, and enforced non-representative regional government. For the first time our voices were heard loud and clear in the legislature and the news media and our activists are organized like never before.
And for the first time, opposition to Agenda 21 has taken root in Arlington, Virginia, a major Washington, DC suburb where Sustainable Development has been firmly entrenched for years.
The Virginia battle is a perfect blue print of what needs to be done in every state. The battle was waged, not only in the state legislature, but in several local communities as well.
The planners and their ilk are no longer laughing at us in Virginia!
- Also in Southwest Virginia, local activists have won an astounding victory as they became the first in the nation to stop the establishment of a National Heritage Area (NHA). The Crooked Road NHA was to be enforced in 19 counties, with special interests being funded by the National Park Service, giving them power to trample on property rights and stop development of the area.
I traveled to this very rural area last year to speak against the NHA and to teach local activists how to fight back against this Agenda 21-- inspired corruption machine. And it worked. Step by step, county by county, these active leaders stood up to powerful special interests and persuaded county governments to reject the Crooked Road NHA. Just days ago, the forces behind the effort announced that they were ending their drive to establish the NHA.
This is the first time in the nation that a NHA has been stopped and local control preserved. This is a major victory!!!
- In Central Ohio, anti-Agenda 21 forces are organizing to stop local planners and special interests who are working together behind closed doors to establish non-elected regional government. There is also a strong effort underway to fight Agenda 21 in North East Ohio. And now these two forces are working to combine efforts to make their fight a statewide effort. This is a first in Ohio.
- In Maryland, One of the worst states in the nation for the enforcement of Agenda 21 policy, activists are organizing against their liberal Governor’s efforts to force Agenda 21 from the state level.
- At least ten state legislatures, including Nebraska, Washington, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, Tennessee and Maine have joined Alabama to try to pass state laws to stop the spread of Agenda 21. Some passed, some didn’t. .But the battles are engaged and not going away!
- The same thing is happening in more and more local and county governments, where city council members and county commissioners are also taking steps to introduce legislation to stop Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development policies.
These are just a small sampling of the massive battles that are being waged in local communities across the nation.
In almost every case I have been directly involved, providing assistance, suggestions for language and so forth. In other cases, the activists and elected officials are using APC materials to educate and organize opposition.
In the past two months, APC has distributed more than 3,000 of our new booklet, “Agenda 21 and How to Stop It.” It is proving to be one of the most valuable tools we have ever designed in this fight.
APC just issued a brand new booklet on Smart Meters and how to stop them. And those too are flying off the shelves.
Our extensive “Stop Agenda 21 Action Kit” is being used by several hundred activists. For example, one activist in Ohio used the kit to create a seminar to teach others about Agenda 21 and how to stop it.
And I can’t keep APC’s DVDs, flyers, and books in stock.
This is all the good news. I’m thrilled with such success. There is no denying that APC is the recognized leader in this battle. Everyone is looking to me to help them organize.
BUT………………………………
My hospitalization has cost APC dearly.
Not only has it slowed our momentum to create more tools for fighting back, it has taken me off the road and the air ways. Critical projects I was working on just before being stricken have been delayed.
But the worst part is this.
In my absence, APC’s vital funding has nearly dried up. I haven’t been there to oversee and guide our fund raising effort.
Right now, APC’s bank account is at the lowest level in our history. We don’t have enough funds to get us through this month – unless I can turn this around – and fast.
At this point, I am out of the booklets that have proven to be such a valuable tool, and I don’t have the funds to order more. Orders are coming in that I can’t fulfill.
It’s bad enough that I was temporarily sidelined and unable to travel and speak, but to shut off all of our programs, right in the middle of the greatest successes in APC’s 26 year history, is a disaster.
My small staff is hanging with me as best they can. But time is growing very short. I must turn this funding shortage around right away – or I fear disaster for APC.
This is an emergency. I have no one to turn to but you.
May I ask you to come to my aid with an emergency contribution today?
Today, will you write a check or use your credit card for at least $25? If you can send more, even $50 or $100, it will give me the immediate funds I need to keep APC’s doors open and our vital programs running.
I know everyone is hurting in this economy. But APC is wining battles like no other group in the nation. We are the one bright spot in the battle against Obama and his oppressive Sustainable Development policies. We are winning on the local level.
But all of that could come to a crashing halt if APC is unable to continue.
Please, I couldn’t be more serious with you. Without your emergency contribution to APC right now, this week, the American Policy Center may well have to stop our vital programs.
I’m desperate. Please help!
Yours for the continued fight for Freedom,
Tom DeWeese
President
P.S. APC is facing a dire financial crisis. Without your immediate contribution of at least $25, I may be forced to quit the fight to stop Agenda21. Please don’t let that happen. I need you.
