Passports Could Become MANDATORY For Traveling INSIDE THE U.S. BY 2018!!!
Still Think 1984 Is Just Mere Fiction?! YOU WON’T AFTER THIS!!! Because recently, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced on December 20th, 2013 a phased enforcement plan for the REAL ID Act, as passed by Congress, that will implement the Act “in a measured, fair, and responsible way.” The REAL ID Act, passed by Congress in 2005, enacted the 9/11 Commission’s recommendation that the Federal Government “places standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver's licenses.”
The Act established minimum security standards for license issuance and production and prohibits Federal agencies from accepting for certain purposes driver’s licenses and identification cards from states not meeting the Act’s minimum standards. The purposes covered by the Act are: accessing Federal facilities; entering nuclear power plants; and, no sooner than 2016, boarding federally regulated commercial aircraft. However, there are certain U.S. states and territories wherein the issuance of government state IDs/driver’s licenses are non-compliant with the REAL ID Act.
These regions have been issued an extension until Jan. 22nd, 2018 to update their state IDs so that they are in compliance with the REAL ID Act, in order to be eligible for commercial airline travel, be it internationally, or even domestically. If these regions do not comply, state IDs issued from these will no longer be permitted for identification use at airports… These regions currently include: Alaska, California, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Washington — Residents of Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands could also be affected, as could those from Virginia.
To get past TSA security checkpoints, another form of identification might be required — including, but not limited to passport, passport card, permanent resident card/green card, or a military ID (See TSA Identification Link Below). And, to make matters worse, every traveler will eventually need a REAL ID-compliant license or state ID or another acceptable form of identification to fly within the U.S. beginning October 1st, 2020, according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). However, the question still remains: WHY all of these draconian laws and changes when it comes to air travel?
How will this affect people like you and me, both domestically (WITHIN The U.S.) — And internationally, outside the borders? How could all of this play a role with immigration, martial law, and the coming police-state?! THE TRUTH REVEALED!!! SEE THE TRUTH RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!!
