10 Things You Need to Know About Election Fraud
TTN Staff
Concerns over voter fraud have hit an all-time high in 2020 as many in the media and in Washington are recommending that the entire country switch to mail-in
voting because of the Coronavirus. Many fear what will happen to the legitimacy of American elections if these measures go through, political opportunists will do anything to win, they are not above cheating. Here are 10 things you need to look for when it comes to election fraud:
1.) No Security Feature
There are no inherent security features in mail-in ballots. Ballots are not watermarked like other government documents and this means they can be produced fraudulently with little effort, a High school student is capable of replicating these ballots.
2.) Men On The Inside
One former ballot manipulator, who is a Sanders supporter, came forward anonymously to tell others how he would have done it. This individual talked about having “men on the inside” in other words employees in the post office who would collect ballots and replace them with rigged ballots.
3.) Voter Impersonation
Another major aspect of voter fraud comes to in-person voting. Sometimes individuals who are no longer able to vote are left on the registry and individuals can come and impersonate them as a way to vote multiple times.
4.) Ballot Collectors
Ballot collectors are not real, this is a scam. If someone is telling you they are there to collect your ballot they are a criminal and looking to engage in voter fraud. This is a common trap that many people get caught in, you might as well vote for the party you didn’t intend if you hand over a ballot to one of these fraudsters.
5.) Destroying Ballots
Another popular scheme is the destruction of ballots. These are ballots stolen by “ballot collectors” and insiders at the post office, these ballots are destroyed and replaced with fake ballots, before destroying the ballots they are opened and the certificate is taken out so it can be used in the new vote.
6.) Assisted-Living Facilities Targeted
Assisted-Living facilities are often targeted by these fraudsters, the staff at these facilities are largely unaware of it and these seniors are unaware as to this fraud. This targeting of our seniors is despicable and more common than you might think.
7.) Double Voting
Double voting is another scam used by these individuals, they will go to one polling station and vote and then go to another and vote. With mail-in voting this gets even easier, one individual may request a ballot on behalf of another individual without them knowing and then vote for t
8.) Voter Impersonation
In states, without voter Id laws it is extremely easy to vote illegally under a different name. All they have to do is walk into a polling location and claim to be someone else, they do not have to show ID and may very well vote before someone else who had originally intended to vote.
9.) Bribing Voters
Bribing voters is another common tactic, the individual who came forward to tell the world about voter fraud claimed that they would pay people $50 to vote. There is little anyone can do about this because those taking the money are not likely to speak up and those who are giving the money out are not likely to admit to doing this.
10.) Fake Ballots
Fake ballots are another scam, these are ballots that are sent out to potential voters as a means to inflate the number of votes or to dissuade actual voters from voting, as they will be under the impression that they are voting via these fake ballots. Regardless of how they are used they are illegitimate and make the election untrustworthy.
