Podesta Lies to Congress About the Infamous Dossier, Look Who Was Caught Sitting Right Next to Him

Hillary Clinton and the Democrats are trying to deflect as much as they can now that it has been revealed that they were behind the funding of the dodgy dossier against Donald Trump.
They’ve alternately pushed the positions that they didn’t know about the dossier and/or it doesn’t really matter because it was just opposition research.
Clinton has denied knowing about it until it revealed by Buzzfeed in January.
But of course, her lawyer had been paying millions for it, as had the DNC.
Her campaign filed a phony FEC form alleging that she was paying for legal services rather than opposition research which was deceptive and likely illegal. A complaint has now been filed against them for doing that.
Her tweets also suggested she had knowledge as she kept pushing the Russia question apparently hoping to create enough attention for the media to pick it up.
But perhaps in an astonishing for these times show of journalistic ethics, none would because it was so sketchy and unverified, despite the fact that they preferred her for President.

But now there’s more.
Everyone now revealed to have been involved previously claimed that they didn’t know anything about it.\
And some also lied to Congress. Read on.
Leon Panetta, a Democrat who was Bill Clinton’s former chief of staff and has served a variety of positions in Democrat administrations — most notably as Barack Obama’s secretary of defense — told CNN he felt Congress needed to investigate whether Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National Committee lied about funding the so-called “Trump dossier” through a Clinton lawyer.
Before The Washington Post revealed earlier this week that Clinton and the DNC had helped pay Fusion GPS to assemble the infamous document, all involved claimed to have nothing to do with it.
In fact, CNN reported that two top Democrat officials — Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and former DNC head Debbie Wasserman Schultz — both told congressional investigators prior to this week’s report that they had no knowledge of who funded the dossier.
Panetta agreed that Congress needed to get to the bottom of it, “Well, it’s obviously something that the Intelligence Committee is going to have, have to look at.”
He initially tried to palm it off as possibly the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing in such a big operation.
But Wolf Blitzer shockingly called him out on that.
Blitzer noted that when Podesta was asked if the Clinton campaign had a contractual relationship with Fusion, he said no and denied knowing anything about them to Congress with his lawyer was sitting with him.
That lawyer was Clinton’s attorney Marc Elias, the very man who had engaged and paid Fusion.
Panetta acknowledged that could be a big problem, “Well, it certainly makes the situation very awkward.”
He went on:
“If you’re testifying and saying you have no knowledge and the attorney sitting next to you is one of those that knew what was involved here, I think it does raise an issue that the committee is going to have to look at and determine just exactly who knew what.”
Yes, lying to Congress tends to be a very big problem.
And it can earn you five years in the pokey.
