Radicals first changed their accusations from “quid pro quo” to “bribery.” And then, at the eleventh hour, they changed again.

Today, the House brought up two articles of impeachment: “obstruction of Congress” and “abuse of power.” The second is a brand-new accusation in their inquisition against President Trump.

To have an “abuse of power” is basically when a person in authority uses that power to commit a misdemeanor, all while knowing that his conduct is illegal. While a misdemeanor is illegal and impeachable, the nebulous “abuse of power” is not an impeachable offense. And in this situation, there wasn’t even an abuse of power.

From day one, President Trump has said that his phone call was “perfect.” However, this article of impeachment demands foreknowledge of the person’s actions being illegal. In addition, the Democrats act of searching for three more months after the phone call transcript was released demonstrates they know President Trump did not commit a misdemeanor on that phone call. In these two ways it is crystal clear that President Trump did not commit an “abuse of power.”

The only part of that definition that does apply to President Trump is he is in power. And that is really what the Democrats are attacking. They are attacking our nation, our laws, our president, and our future.

Vice President Mike Pence said, “What is happening in Washington, D.C. is a disgrace.”

When Democrats attack President Trump, they are really attacking the people who voted for him. In the face of these direct attacks, I hope you will fight back with an urgent fax to House Democrats in conservative districts opposing this impeachment hoax.

This whole process reeks of injustice. George Washinton University Law Professor Jonathan Turley told the U.S. House committee, “If you make a ‘high crime and misdemeanor’ out of [President Trump] going to the courts, it is an abuse of power. It is your abuse of power.”

Turley looked directly in the eyes of House Democrats and finished by saying, “You are doing precisely what you are criticizing the President for doing.”
