What’s Happening:

Even though the COVID vaccine is rolling out, Democrats seem more than willing to enforce new and longer lockdowns. It’s as if the last year, and everything we learned about how damaging lockdowns may be, never happened.

It was quite the spectacle to see one of the richest, most successful men in the world—Bill Gates—actually tell CNN that we should endure many more months of lockdowns. You can see that video below.

Of course, the former Microsoft CEO and one of the richest men in the world won’t be hurt by lockdowns. But millions of small business owners would be crushed. Some would never recover.

So, Sen. Ted Cruz quickly put things into perspective. I’m sure Gates won’t like this.

Cruz blasted CNN, Bill Gates, and Democrats who advocate for long, more painful lockdowns. He wondered how supportive of these lockdowns they’d be if it hurt their paychecks?

Would Gates be eager to lock the country down, if employees from his former company lost their paychecks?

Would Democrats demand shutting down our economies, if they weren’t getting paid? What about CNN? What if all those highly-paid con artists, I mean, “journalists,” lost their salaries?

Hmm… something tells me they wouldn’t like those lockdowns one bit.

But that’s exactly why they love pushing these measures so much. It makes it look like they’re “doing something” about the virus while avoiding any painful consequences for themselves.

I’m sure their children go to expensive private schools that continued classes online easily. Or, they were able to pay nannies to watch their kids so they could work.

Does Gates know that the vast majority of Americans don’t have that luxury? They can’t watch their kids who are stuck at home and still work (those that can still work).

And they can’t just shut down their restaurant, store, or other business, just because Gates or a governor says so.

Perhaps we need to outlaw lockdowns, so they’re never used again. What do you think, America?
