Judge Amy Coney Barrett made her introductory statement yesterday. As expected, radical protesters waved larger-than-life posters and generally created chaos outside the Senate office building. Inside the building, Democrat senators used tears to protest even having a hearing. And they repeatedly misrepresented our nation's history and the clear precedent to act before a new administration is elected to confirm Judge Barrett.

Meanwhile, the radical protesters began trying to force their way into the hearing and were arrested by the Capitol Police. This is the intensity of attack that our senators are under this week.

In part due to those who have already sent faxes, Republican senators started out strong. But the question is how will they end this hearing? We have the opportunity right now to eliminate the radical stronghold on the Supreme Court. Our senators need to hear from you today!

The attacks inside the building were no less fierce than those outside. Senator Josh Hawley called out the Democrats for their "anti-Catholic bigotry." The bedrock principle of American religious liberty is under attack even when Democrats insist it isn't.

He pointed out, "This is an attempt to broach a new frontier to set up a new standard. Actually, it's an attempt to bring back an old standard that the Constitution of the United States explicitly forbids. I'm talking about a religious test for office."

Sen. Hawley emphasized, "We will not allow the ruling class to have veto power over your faith, over what American's believe, over who we gather with to worship."

And that is exactly what is at stake in the confirmation of Judge Barrett. If senators can claim that religious people are unfit to serve in public office and win that argument, then our religious freedom is lost for all time.

We must fight for people of faith to work inside the judiciary to fairly and justly apply our laws and serve justice. This is exactly what Judge Barrett has promised she will do. This is a critical moment to let the Senate know that Americans will not tolerate religious discrimination against Judge Barrett!

Democrat Senators trotted out accusations that this confirmation was "rushed," "slapdash," and happening at "unprecedented speeds." But their claims are as fake as their tears.

Seventy percent of the Supreme Court Justices considered since 1900 were nominated and confirmed in less time than the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Radicals are hoping you will forget the vetting process for Judge Barrett started four years ago when the President first announced she was on his list of potential nominees, and again in 2018 when her name was floated alongside then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Also, there have been 29 total U.S. Supreme Court vacancies during an election year. Of the 19 that took place with a single party controlling both the White House and the Senate, 90% of them were confirmed.

There is both ample time and a consistent historical precedent for confirming Judge Barrett.

But will Republicans stand strong and resist attempts to slow or derail the process? We are at a moment of critical importance: We must not squander this opportunity. This can be a true turning point for our nation.

Yesterday, Democrat senators parroted lies from presidential candidate Joe Biden, who stated, "This nominee has said she wants to get rid of the Affordable Care Act ... [in] less than one month, Americans are going to lose their health insurance," reported Yahoo!

But that's a blatant lie.

Judge Barrett did criticize the use of our tax code to force Americans to purchase health insurance, but she never stated how she would rule on a future case. She has only stated that she will apply the law justly in the tradition of her mentor, the late Justice Antonin Scalia.

Because of the superiority of Judge Barrett's qualifications, radicals are reduced to trying to guess how Judge Barrett might rule in the future and use the conclusions they conjure up inside their own heads.

Even the left-leaning American Bar Association says that Judge Barrett is "well qualified."

As she stated, "When I write an opinion resolving a case, I read every work from the perspective of the losing party. I ask myself how would I view the decision if one of my children was the party I was ruling against."
