Fight for $15
Earlier today, McDonald's made an announcement about workers' pay. But there's a big catch: their plan impacts less than 10% of their workforce. And even after the change, nearly everyone who works at McDonald's will still get paid under $10 an hour – not nearly enough to pay the bills. What's worse, roughly 1.6 million McDonald's workers will get a raise of exactly ZERO dollars from this PR stunt. A big company with $5.6 billion in profits could do a lot better than that.
It's probably no coincidence the company announced this the day after workers announced plans for the largest-ever fast-food strike in U.S. history.
Which is why we must show up. Bigger, stronger, and louder than ever. We're fighting for $15 an hour and a union for everyone. And we won't stop until we get there.
