It Didn’t Take Long For Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Big Lie To Fall Apart
Kelly Walsh
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the darling of the far-left.
After sweeping into office on a platform promising the most radical socialist agenda in American history, Ocasio-Cortez is now pushing her radical “Green New Deal” proposal in Congress.
But she didn’t expect her world to come tumbling down because of one truth.
It didn’t take long for the swamp to drain Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The Democratic congresswoman from New York promised to bring radical change to Washington D.C. through her socialist agenda.
And she’s since begun to put that agenda into practice.
Ocasio-Cortez’s proposed “Green New Deal” would be the most radical government takeover of the American economy and society since the original New Deal of Franklin Roosevelt.
But this time, she’s proposing something so radical that it would take tens of trillions of dollars to implement.
Yet, as Ocasio-Cortez rails against capitalism and free markets, and especially fossil fuels and cars, she’s now being outed as one of Washington’s biggest hypocrites.
The New York Post reports, “Since declaring her candidacy in May 2017, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign heavily relied on those combustion-engine cars — even though a subway station was just 138 feet from her Elmhurst campaign office.”
Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign has even listed “1,049 transactions for Uber, Lyft, Juno and other car services, federal filings show. The campaign had 505 Uber expenses” alone, according to the New York Post.
In all, Ocasio-Cortez spent $29,365.70 on those emissions-spewing vehicles, along with car and van rentals — even though her Queens HQ was a one-minute walk to the 7 train.
The campaign shelled out only $8,335.41 on 52 MetroCard transactions.
Things look even worse for Ocasio-Cortez’s image as an environmental crusader.
Her campaign even charged 66 airline transactions costing over $25,000 over the course of the general election last year.
And as Ocasio-Cortez touts high-speed rail as the replacement to airline travel, her campaign only used trains 18 times in 2018’s general election.
All of this paints a rather ugly picture.
Ocasio-Cortez may have campaigned on being an environmental hero of the far-left, and she may still be the champion of the Democratic Party on this issue.
But she is anything but consistent in applying the same rules she wants to impose on the rest of the country to herself.
Indeed, Ocasio-Cortez has only been in Congress for less than two months.
And yet Washington D.C. has already gotten to her.
The swamp engulfs almost everyone it touches, which is why President Trump chose to run for President in the first place.
And now it has swallowed Ocasio-Cortez as well, who is too busy living a lifestyle of a powerful politician while lecturing the rest of the country about how the world will end in 12 years.
This is nothing new.
She’s just following in the steps of the same career politicians who say one thing and then do another.
And while Ocasio-Cortez may still be pushing a radical agenda for the country, she refuses to follow her own advice.
Do you think Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a hypocrite?
