Democrats have been pushing for impeachment since before President Trump even took office.

And with Robert Mueller’s investigation about to come to a close, they’re pushing for impeachment harder than ever.

But Pelosi’s plans to remove Trump from office are about to take a turn for the worse.

Nancy Pelosi hates President Trump.

After he crushed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, Pelosi and other Democrats in Washington D.C. lost their minds.

And ever since, they’ve been struggling to find ways to get Trump out of office.

The most obvious path is, of course, impeaching the President.

But that runs into problems of its own.

Most Americans adamantly oppose impeaching Trump.

And bringing up charges against him with little to no evidence is a sure-fire way to electrify Republicans and motivate them heading into the 2020 elections.

Democrats would risk a backlash unlike anything seen in American political history.

But there is another route to force Trump out of office, which is to wait for the Mueller report to drop.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been following a two-year long witch hunt against the President since shortly after Trump took office.

And the Special Counsel’s work is nearly done.

Democrats are hoping that Mueller’s report will include enough bombshells in it to justify impeaching the President, then forcing Republicans in the Senate to go along with the scheme.

But there’s a problem.

Mueller’s report may not give Democrats what they’re looking for.

And that could seriously derail their plans.

The Washington Times reports, “Emboldened by their new majority, Democrats are undertaking several broad new investigations into President Donald Trump and setting the stage for a post-Robert Mueller world.”

“Whether the special counsel’s final Russia report is damning of the president or not, Democrats in charge of a half-dozen House committees are planning to flood the administration with document requests, calls for testimony and even subpoenas if necessary,” adds the Washington Times.

It seems like Democrats are increasingly working to move the goalposts on the Mueller probe.

If Mueller gives them evidence of wrongdoing in order to justify impeachment, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Democrats push hard for Trump’s removal from office.

But at the same time, it looks like Democrats are making back-up plans in case Mueller’s probe turns out to be a political bust for them.

And the rhetoric from Washington suggests that the spin machine is in full force.

“The Democratic efforts increased this past week after Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, appeared before two House committees and a Senate committee,” states the Washington Times.

In a highly publicized testimony to the House Oversight and Reform Committee, Cohen called President Trump a “con man” and a “cheat” and worked as hard as he could to give Democrats several new leads to attack the President.

While it’s not clear yet what avenue Democrats will pursue, their quest to remove Trump from office continues in full force.
