Democrats thought they had a full-proof plan to impeach President Trump.

The first step was jailing Attorney General William Barr.

But William Barr forced Nancy Pelosi to admit this soul crushing defeat.

Democrats voted to hold Attorney General Barr in contempt of Congress after he refused to break federal law in protecting the secrecy of grand jury proceedings and release an unredacted version of the Mueller report.

Democrats know there is nothing in the unredacted Mueller report that changes the top-line conclusions that there was no criminal conspiracy with Russia and no determination on obstruction of justice for President Trump.

That is obvious to all because Mueller didn’t bring criminal charges on either of those fronts.

But Democrats need a way to keep the story alive, so screaming “cover up!” and having their allies in the fake news media amplify their phony scandal is their only play.

It’s purely a political stunt.

And Attorney General Barr called Pelosi out on this nonsense and forced her to admit it was all a joke.

During a ceremony honoring law enforcement at the Capitol, the Attorney General ran into Pelosi and was not going to let the moment pass.

Barr taunted Pelosi and asked,“Madam Speaker did you bring your handcuffs?”

Pelosi reportedly laughed and jokingly told Barr that the House Sergeant at Arms was nearby.

Prior to this exchange, Pelosi’s members had spent days huffing and puffing on cable news and social media that jail was on the table for Attorney General Barr.

The Speaker herself even joked about having a tiny jail beneath the Capitol to lock up Trump administration officials.

But when Barr confronted Pelosi, her bluster turned into back peddling.

In an interview with Fox News Channel’s Bill Hemmer, Attorney General Barr offered another explanation as to why the Democrats pushed the contempt vote.

The Attorney General speculated that it had a lot to do with the fact that he was digging into the Obama administration and FBI’s un-American domestic spying operations during the 2016 Presidential campaign.

“I think it’s largely being made to try to discredit me, partly because they may be concerned about the outcome of a review of what happened during the election,”Barr told Hemmer.

There are now three investigations into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax.

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz is expected to present his findings after investigating the possible abuses of power by the FBI in obtaining a FISA warrant to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

That report is expected to be devastating.

In addition, Barr appointed Connecticut United States Attorney John Durham to probe into how the Russia investigation began.

Finally, Barr himself is working with the CIA, FBI, and Office of Director of National Intelligence to get a handle on the extent of the spying during the 2016 election.

Barr added in his interview that the explanations he’s so far received do not add up or make sense.

But while Pelosi and the Democrats plot to take down the Attorney General, Barr is intent on delivering the truth about what happened during the Obama administration’s Soviet-style attempts to subvert democracy during the 2016 election.
