Nancy Pelosi finally came clean.

The Speaker of the House confessed to the American people that she had been lying to them for months about wanting to remove Donald Trump from office.

And Nancy Pelosi drew a line in the sand on impeachment that left Donald Trump red with rage.

During the 2018 campaign, Nancy Pelosi tried to sell voters on the idea that if the American people handed the Democrats power, it was not a one way ticket to impeachment.

But ever since Michael Cohen testified before Congress in February, the tide of those in favor of impeachment in the Democrat House majority continues to swell.

At first, Pelosi tried to temper the passion of the mob.

But that officially ended in failure when House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler demanded Pelosi allow his committee to begin impeachment proceedings.

Finally, Pelosi gave in.

After saying she did not want to see the President impeached because he deserved to be jailed instead, Pelosi finally dipped her toe into the impeachment waters.

Pelosi was interviewed by CNN’s Manu Raju at a fiscal summit and refused to rule impeachment off the table.

“It’s not off the table. I don’t think you should impeach for political reasons and I don’t think you should not impeach for political reasons. It’s not about politics. It’s not about Democrats and Republicans. It’s about patriotism to our country. It’s about upholding the Constitution of the United States. If in fact the executive branch can say you can never have oversight over us, you have destroyed the system of checks and balances, which is the wisdom and the heart of our Constitution. And if you go down that path and you look to the Bill of Rights and the assaults they make on the press, et cetera, then you are undermining the Constitution, not honoring your oath of office to support and defend,” Pelosi began.

“And part of all of that is, again, our responsibility, our oath of office, and what is appalling is the lack of respect for the oath of office that the Republicans in Congress, in the House, and in the Senate have for their own oaths of office to strengthen the institution in which they serve,” she added.

“It’s not about Congress. It’s about the American people. We’re representatives of the American people who deserve to know the truth,” the Speaker concluded.

This is further than the Speaker has ever gone before.

At this point, many Americans believe it is only a matter of time before Pelosi grants her blessing for the Judiciary Committee to begin drafting articles of impeachment against President Trump.

After that, all bets are off.

President Trump believes impeachment proceedings will boost his re-election chances.

Democrats think it will energize their base and turn off Republicans who support the President’s policies but dislike his personality.

Time will tell how this will play out, but it appears clear that the Democrats – led by Nancy Pelosi – are barreling towards impeachment.
