FEINSTEIN GUN CONTROL BILL REQUIRES FINGERPRINT REGISTRATION & CONFISCATION

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Crime Statistics annually reported states that the reality of gun-related violence is not as the mainstream and US government purports it to be.

The FBI report says that there were only 445 deaths attributed to rifles in 2005. In 2006 that number was 438. While the statistical data fluctuates, in 2011 there were 323 murders associated with rifles.

It appears that clubs, hammers and fists are more deadly than rifles, according to the FBI.

Aside from inflated perceptions about guns, the FBI reports that more Americans have registered for National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) back-ground checks related to gun purchases; with as estimated 2.78 million and a 39% rise over tallies taken in November 2012.

Mainstream propaganda adds to the national debate on gun-control by supposing that Liberals fight for a repeal of the 2nd Amendment and categorize the National Rifle Association (NRA) as a terrorist organization by making membership illegal.

Donald Kaul, writing for the Des Moines Register said that America should:

• Repeal the Second Amendment, the part about guns anyway. It’s badly written, confusing and more trouble than it’s worth. It offers an absolute right to gun ownership, but it puts it in the context of the need for a “well-regulated militia.” We don’t make our militia bring their own guns to battles. And surely the Founders couldn’t have envisioned weapons like those used in the Newtown shooting when they guaranteed gun rights. Owning a gun should be a privilege, not a right.

• Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did. (I would also raze the organization’s headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony. If some people refused to give up their guns, that “prying the guns from their cold, dead hands” thing works for me.”

In Illinois, John Cullerton, Illinois State Senate president, is pushing an assault weapons legislation that will ban all pump action shotguns, semi-automatic pistols and rifles; including antique rifles such as the M-1 Grand used in WW II. Cullerton is focused on labeling as many guns as assault weapons, according to the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) who is announcing this information based on “a credible source”.

After the Batman shooting Governor Patrick Quinn tried to have legislation approved that would redefine restrictions and new, more stringent rules on gun acquisition for citizens of Illinois.

Capitalizing on the Sandy Hook shooting, Brooke Anderson, spokesperson for Quinn explained: “There is no place in Illinois for weapons designed to rapidly fire at human targets at close range. A statewide ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines is good public safety policy that would help prevent future tragic incidents in Illinois.”

Anderson went on to state: “A ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines would help ensure citizens can go about their lives without the threat of violence.”

Cullerton was successful in having the legislation approved for Quinn’s signature. Senator Dan Kotowski, Cullerton’s co-conspirator, has been charged with having a bill passed that restricts high capacity magazines.

The Illinois Senate will now hear the proposal for final approval.

On a federal level, Senator Dianne Feinstein has “been working with my staff for over a year on legislation” based on “in-depth research” into gun-related violence; such as viewing pictures of guns from 1993 to 2012 to make comparisons.

The NRA says they have obtained a draft of Feinstein’s bill seeks to redefine what is an “assault weapon” to include a more encompassing amount of guns. There would also be an initiative of forcing Americans to register their guns with the federal government under the National Firearms Act (NFA). This would give the federal government authority to confiscate weapons that were identified in violent acts.

Feinstein hopes to:

• Restrict the modifications to firearms available to citizens

• Classify specific modifications as illegal

• Restricting the acquisition of rocket launchers

With the redefining of assault weapons, semi-automatic, centerfire, rimfire rifles will be illegal; as well as the M1 Carbine and Ruger Mini-14. No more than 10 round magazines will be available.

The NFA will collect taxes of an estimated $200 per gun purchased as well as the owner file their fingerprints, photograph, address and obtain permission before taking the gun across state lines.

Guns could not be sold privately or passed down to heirs. The owner would relinquish their gun to the US government upon death.

The date of manufacture of magazines would be a necessity to reign in imported firearms, while it is now not common place to date-stamp domestically produced gun magazines. The restriction on handguns, although it violates the Supreme Court ruling that affirms that possession of handguns is the right of all Americans, will be all-encompassing. The hypocritical nature of this addition is that Feinstein is a registered handgun owner.

In response to Feinstein’s bill, US Marine Joshua Boston asserted in an open letter that he “will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.”

Boston explains without reservation that he “is not your subject” but rather “the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.”

Bravely Boston proclaims: “I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public. We, the people, deserve better than you.”
