OBAMA COMES OUT IN THE OPEN--PUSHES FOR GUN CONFISCATION AGENDA LIKE AUSTRALIA

As has been predicted by those in the citizen media, Obama is set to use his "authority" as president to unilaterally issue some form of pseudo-law executive order to further the agenda of gun control in light of the recent shooting at an Oregon school. White House spokesperson Josh Earnest stated the president was always looking for opportunities to increase community safety, but that he would rather work with Congress on "robust" legislative action. Earnest revealed the president's latest gun control campaign push at a White House press briefing on Tuesday.
According to Earnest, "The president's goal is to look for opportunities to act administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority to try to make our communities safer. We're always looking for those opportunities. But none of those opportunities when they present themselves are going to be an acceptable substitute for robust legislative action."
Earnest contended that Congress needed to work to prevent future shootings going on to say there has been an "alarming frequency of tragic incidents of gun violence" that concern people throughout the country as well as both parties in Washington.
Earnest stated, "The question I think really facing lawmakers right now is what common sense steps can Democrats and Republicans take to reduce the likelihood of gun violence? And there are some, and they have unfortunately been bottled up in Congress and that is a disappointment to the president. But that's not going to stop the president from continuing to push for administrative steps that we can take to help reduce gun violence."
Searching the internet finds many individuals discussing this "alarming frequency of gun violence" with some pointing to an orchestration of these incidents by the Obama administration to push gun control.
Of course, Obama couldn't resist the temptation to push his gun control leading to confiscation agenda on Tumblr. In one statement, Obama suggested that America should follow Australia's example and institute strict bans on automatic and semi-automatic weapons. After being briefed on the recent incidents in California and Oregon, Obama stated, "Australia had a mass shooting [in 1996] similar to Columbine and Newtown, and just said, 'That's it, we're not seeing this again,' and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws and they haven't had a mass shooting since."
Obama is referring to the Port Arthur massacre that occurred at the historic prison colony there.
Since Obama has referred to Australia as a shining example of gun control and confiscation that eliminated mass shootings, what has happened to crime in Australia since?
According to a 2009 report by the National Center for Policy Analysis, the Australian Bureau of Criminology, five years after Australia enacted its gun ban, acknowledged there was no correlation between gun control and the use of firearms in violent crimes. "In fact, the percent of murders committed with a firearm was the highest it had ever been in 2006."
According to the NCPA:
Even Australia's Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research acknowledges that the gun ban had no significant impact on the amount of gun-involved crime:
- In 2006, assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent.
- Sexual assault – Australia's equivalent term for rape – increased 29.9 percent.
- Overall, Australia's violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
Moreover, Australia and the United States – where no gun ban exists – both experienced similar decreases in murder rates.
- Between 1995 and 2007, Australia saw a 31.9 percent decrease; without a gun ban, America's rate dropped 31.7 percent.
- During the same period, all other violent crime indices increased in Australia: assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent.
- Sexual assault – Australia's equivalent term for rape – increased 29.9 percent.
- Overall, Australia's violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.
- At the same time, U.S. violent crime decreased 31.8 percent: rape dropped 19.2 percent; robbery decreased 33.2 percent; aggravated assault dropped 32.2 percent.
- Australian women are now raped over three times as often as American women.
While this does not prove that more guns would impact crime rates, it does prove that gun control is a flawed policy.
While Australia may not have had a mass shooting since, the crime rate in Australia has risen and the gun ban had no significant impact on the amount of gun-involved crime. Obama, as usual, doesn't relay all the information but chooses to use information selectively to promote an agenda. There has been no definitive proof that any gun control laws prevent gun-related crimes as criminals do not follow the law.
In his Tumblr broadcast, Obama claimed that respect for the Second Amendment can still occur and "responsible sportsmen and hunters" can still possess weapons. He declared the country needed "common sense rules" to deter these incidents of mass shootings.
The questions one must ask regarding these statements is who is to determine if a person is responsible and how is that to be determined? The next is who is to determine what is common sense rules for any gun control and how is common sense defined in relation to establishing those rules? While many may not see the wisdom in the single phrase "shall not be infringed" contained in the Second Amendment, it is there to inhibit these "common sense rules," where common sense would be defined by government, and to inhibit government from establishing the definition of "responsible" concerning who can and cannot possess firearms. The framers intent was for individuals to be able to defend themselves from tyrannical government by possessing the same fire power as the government, as the framers recognized the individual's God-given right to protect person and property. To hear Obama talk, the Second Amendment only pertains to hunters and sportsmen.
In one statement, Obama let slip the definitive problem. He said, "My greatest frustration so far is that this society has not been willing to take steps to keep guns out of the hands of people you know who can just do unbelievable damage."
The problem is not the guns; the problem is people who will do unbelievable, illegal, criminal activity. Those types of people will use any means necessary to perpetrate their crimes. And, Obama should be reminded that he, through the DOJ and Eric "Fast and Furious" Holder, put guns into the hands of people who did "unbelievable damage." The problem is the people, not the inanimate object. Criminals will be criminals so no laws, gun control or otherwise, will affect them whatsoever as they will not follow the law. Obama is evidence of that – criminal is as criminal does.
Obama continued his basic rant on guns saying, "We're the only developed country on Earth where this happens. … Our level of gun violence is off the charts. There's no advanced country on Earth that would put up with this."
Well, Obama, if you take Washington, DC, Chicago, Detroit and New York out of the equation, the US has the lowest incidences of gun violence in the world. And, in case you missed it, Mr. Master of Skewing the Facts, these cities have gun control laws.
Of course, Obama could not let the opportunity pass to mention Newtown, Connecticut's Sandy Hook Elementary School incident, which some have argued was a false flag psy-op event to promote a gun-control agenda, to drum up emotions.
Speaking of the Newtown shooting, Obama stated, "I've been in Washington, and most things don't surprise me, [but] the fact that 20 six-year-olds were gunned down in the most violent fashion possible and this town could not do anything about it, was stunning to me."
Why did not Obama mention the adults that supposedly were killed at Sandy Hook? Simple. Adult victims do not produce as much emotion in people as when the victims are innocent, defenseless children. He also forgot to mention that the state did do something about it in violation of the rights of gun owners.
As long as the emperor wannabe occupies the Oval Office, Americans can expect gun control to continue to surface with even more fervor than the last with each incident of gun related violence. Isn't interesting that reports on shootings are increasing in the media?
