SENATE COMMITTEE TO VOTE ON ANTI-GUN ATF NOMINEE TODAY, 9-26-19
With the Second Amendment under attack from D.C. politicians, the last thing we need is an anti-gun director of the ATF.
And tomorrow, the Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on whether or not to advance Chuck Canterbury for that very job.
Please call these Senators and urge them to vote AGAINST the confirmation of Chuck Canterbury.

-- Dudley Brown
Lawmakers in Washington are beginning to think twice about rubber-stamping another anti-gunner to lead the ATF, and the change of tone in D.C. is thanks to your action.
In case you missed the confirmation hearing in July, U.S. Senator and NAGR supporter Mike Lee (R-UT) grilled the ATF Director Nominee on his anti-gun past.
As a result of Chuck Canterbury’s botched responses on the Second Amendment, opposition to him is growing.
But Senate leaders are still hoping to RUSH a final vote as soon as they return from recess in September.
Please call these Senators and urge them to vote AGAINST the confirmation of Chuck Canterbury.
Lindsey Graham (R-SC) (202) 224-5972
Chuck Grassley (R-IA) (202) 224-3744
John Cornyn (R-TX) (202) 224-2934
Mike Lee (R-UT) (202) 224-5444
Ted Cruz (R-TX) (202) 224-5922

Josh Hawley (R-MO) (202) 224-6154
Thom Tillis (R-NC) (202) 224-6342
Joni Ernst (R-IA) (202) 224-3254
Mike Crapo (R-ID) (202) 224-6142
John Kennedy (R-LA) (202) 224-4623
Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) (202) 224-3344
Urge the committee members to oppose the nomination of Chuck Canterbury due to his history of endorsing gun control.
Patrick, these developments came following two days of endless phone calls on Capitol Hill from National Association for Gun Rights members like you.
Not only did Senator Lee jump to action, so did Senators like John Kennedy (R-LA). In fact, a half dozen Senators raked Canterbury over the coals for his anti-gun record.
*** Chuck Canterbury supported radical anti-gun Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.1
*** Chuck Canterbury supported former Attorney General Eric Holder -- Obama’s head honcho who ran the deadly Fast and Furious gun running program.2
*** Chuck Canterbury supported expanding the federal government’s gun registration schemes.3
Even more troubling, under Canterbury’s current watch as President of the Fraternal Order of Police, the FOP is lobbying AGAINST Constitutional Carry.4When confronted about it at the hearing, Canterbury spoke favorably about imposing government regulations on your right to carry!
Even though the vast majority of law enforcement officers support the right to carry.5
And further, he refused to take ownership and apologize for any of these four mistakes.
As Director of the ATF, Canterbury will have broad authority over firearms regulations in the United States.
Suppressors, rifles, handguns, magazines, you name it.
Any federal gun regulation, current or proposed, will have to go through him, and following his botched responses on the Second Amendment, he cannot be trusted.
So please call the Senate Judiciary Committee members today.
