Trump's troops are bringing down terrorists left and right. The deputy commander of Al-Qaida worldwide, Abu al-Khayr al-Masri, has been killed by a drone strike while travelling in Syria.
Egyptian born, al-Masri has been a dangerous jihadi for decades, starting his career as a terrorist in the 90s during the Balkan war. He has been involved in the bombings of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania back in 1998. Fleeing Afghanistan from US troops, he was captured and imprisoned in Iran until 2015 when he was released in a prisoner exchange. He then made his way to Syria where he has been battling Syrian government forces with local Al-Qaida affiliates.
His death is a welcome victory in the fight against all terrorists in the Middle East.
