We saw 41 U.S. Senators vote against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Fifty-six Senators voted for the bill. Today, the U.S. Senate filibustered a bill that would simply give punishments for those who neglect, abuse, and even intentionally murder newborn babies after a failed abortion.  

The loophole remains that medical staff can dump a child who survives an abortion into a bucket of formaldehyde and lock them in a closet for hours, even more than a day as they wait for the newborn infant to die! In 35 states, these medical staff can walk away from that closet with zero fear of legal consequences because of these ongoing loopholes. 

God forgive our nation.

Our team delivering petitions to Senator Murkowski's office

Our team fought this on the Hill yesterday, going to Senator's office after Senator's office, spreading the word about the evil of that Sandra Merritt exposed surrounding Planned Parenthood and its affiliates. We delivered every last one of the nearly 140,000 petition signatures split between the offices. And our team prayed for each of these Senators. Last year, Sen. Lisa Murkowski abstained. After dropping off our petition with Sen. Murkowski yesterday, she voted for the bill. 

We made sure these legislators had to face the truth before their vote today. And even though their hearts were hardened, these Senators cannot say they didn't know what these little children are facing, thanks to your support.

Today I was reading "Take away the wicked from the presence of the king and his throne will be established in righteousness." It breaks my heart that as a nation we can look into the eyes of a born-alive infant and deny them medical care and nutrition. We are no longer a civilized society, but more equal to ancient tribes that left undesired newborns to die from exposure or wild beasts.

Just because a mother doesn't want her newborn baby, that should NEVER mean that we just leave it to die, nor allow a Planned Parenthood affiliate to dissect a living newborn baby so they can get a bigger paycheck.

That is unacceptable. 

Now is the moment for pastors to rise up and speak the truth to their congregation and their communities. This is not a political battle; it is a moral battle. We are facing the heart of darkness in our own backyard. And if we do not act now, that darkness threatens to swallow our children and our nation. Sponsor a pastor now.
