A top-secret aircraft known as the “Doomsday Plane” has been spotted in the skies over the U.S., driving wild speculation about the purpose of the aircraft designed to counteract a nuclear attack.
It has been spotted recently by thousands of Americans in recent days.
A spokesman for the Navy confirmed the craft was the E-6B Mercury, also known as the “Doomsday Plane.”

Users on Twitter speculated that the plane’s flight could have been a show of strength to Russia or even a response to the election of President-elect Donald Trump.
