LEVEES.ORG - Breakthrough!......Your urgent action needed
December 14, 2009
New Orleans and south Louisiana got a breakthrough today.
The biggest challenge after the levees failed in August 2005 is getting the media to pay attention to the true facts about the horrific flooding.
Four and a half years out, it's still hard to retain the attention of the American public that what happened in New Orlean is a national issue.
But today I have great news.
Your efforts to keep levees and the New Orleans region in people's minds have paid off.
Important information that Levees.org has been preparing for two years was picked up today by the Huffington Post.
The Huffington Post has 8.9 million unique visitors (according to Nielsen), and is highly read by politicians and policital staffers.
And here's how you can help.
You can keep the story on the homepage of Huffington Post by registering and leaving a comment.

We want to keep the focus on how what happened in during Katrina is a national infrastructure issue and not a parochial New Orleans issue.
You can help right now. But time is of the essence.
Please leave a comment on Levees.org's story.
Best if done by midnight Dec 14, 2009.
Thank you for your support of Levees.org.
We're winning!
