Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov
tain inferior
tendencies. In doing so they activate new forces, and
after a while, like the caterpillar, they emerge as
butterflies, light and free. They no longer destroy
leaves but instead nourish themselves exclusively on
the nectar of flowers. The butterfly symbolizes the
soul which has been freed of all limitation, and this
is the true meaning of resurrection. The physical body
does not resuscitate. The resurrection is the
reawakening of something which has fallen asleep in
man and which one day, after a long work of
maturation, awakens to the light."
