Alchemists Use Mind Over Matter
09/06/2005.
"The goal of the alchemist is to produce the philosopher's stone which transforms all metals into gold. But in order to become a true alchemist, one must be more than a good chemist. To carry out a successful experiment, the chemist need only know how to manipulate material substances. But the alchemist must go much further, and to succeed he must introduce other elements into his work. Some alchemists who know perfectly the formula for producing the philosopher's stone have never achieved anything, despite having carefully prepared all the elements. To prepare the philosopher's stone is less a physical process than a psychic and spiritual one, and to obtain it, we must study the virtues and realize them inwardly. On this condition alone will matter obey us, and will we become true alchemists."
