over the darkened sea
and from below the earth,
calling with your mystery
as the folly breaks apart,
linking us once more
in the unwavering silence
as the machine roars on,
its last exhaust sputtering,
while from within
seeds of beauty stir,
the waters of life gather
and you awaken asking
will you live with me?
