(WASHINGTON EXAMINER) – Former President Donald Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump, died at the age of 73, the Trump family announced on Thursday.
Ivana Trump grew up in what was Czechoslovakia while it was under Communist rule, and married Donald Trump in 1977. They have three kids together: Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump. The pair was married for 15 years before they divorced in 1992.
"Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion & determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children & 10 grandchildren,” the Trump family said in a statement.
